Professor Darks Fantoscope is a recreation of a turn of the century spook show. This type of show later became the "midnight spook shows" that thrilled teenage audiences in movie theaters of the 50s. It uses classic magic tricks, illusions and sound effects to create a spooky atmosphere. This is NOT a haunted house and isn't any scarier than a classic mystery movie from the 30s. Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald (author of "The Great Gatsby"), spent many months in the Highland Hospital Mental Institution in Asheville NC. In 1948, a terrible fire occurred that took the lives of 9 women including hers. Join your host as he spins the macabre tale of events and maybe even see a ghost or two.

This show is great for ages 12 and up.
